Entrance Sign Construction

| We had a good turn out for the entrance sign
groundbreaking on Saturday April 30th at 7:30am . We had just enough help to get
'er done. A few residents stopped by to check on the progress and cheer us on.
Robert, Fred, Colin and Keith (and a jackhammer) dug the sign footings and we were even able to install all the rebar. |

The County inspection on the footings passed May 3, 2011 and we poured the concrete on Thursday morning
May 5th at 11am. The
Masons built the block wall May 25-26 and did the stucco on May
27th. Fred painted the base coat on July 15, 2011. The roof
tile was donated by Ralph Hays Roofing and Keith installed it on
November 30, 2011. We finalized the fonts
and sizing of the lettering and ordered them on Dec. 1, 2011. The
lettering and logo were designed and installed by Territorial Sign Co. www.TerritorialDirect.com
The Entrance Sign was completed on December 16th,
2011.

The colors we have picked for the sign are from Sherwin-Williams Paints.
Stucco -Kilim Beige SW6106, Trim
- Egret White SW570, Lettering - Fiery Brown SW6055.
Projects to complete the sign include:
- Setting re-bar in the footings (done April 30, 2011)
- Pouring concrete footings (done Thursday May 5, 2011)
- Laying concrete block (done May 25-26, 2011)
- Installing electrical conduit for future outlets and lighting
- Stucco (done May 27, 2011)
- Picking paint colors (At the June 14th Board meeting)
- Painting (Friday July 15th 7am.)
- Find some roof tile and edge tile to match the
houses (done)

- Paint roof tile to match orange roofs (done November 20, 2011)
- Install roof tile (done November 30, 2011)
- Design and order the sign lettering (Installed December 16, 2011)

the old stump that was in the way of the sign. Keeping with the
